"Born Balearic" at the Ibizacine Fest 2020

The Born Balearic Team is happy to announce that our World Premiere in Ibiza last week was a huge success for everyone involved. With over 200 attendees and a good mix of fans, local press like the Ibizas very own Ibiza Spotlight (find the link to the full article here)

As well as the Crew of the Ibiza Sonica Radio with special guest and good friend of Jon Sa Trinxa: Andy Wilson, who has is own Radio Show called "BALEARIA Radio Show", as well as a couple of other featured characters in the movie. The director Lily Rinae was very happy to present her first movie at the Theatro Espana in Santa Eularia, Ibiza.

A new beginning

After finishing the movie last year, the Team started reaching out to several Film Festivals all around the globe. Not long after the first Brainstormings, it was clear that Ibiza had to be the start point and the first location for launching the documentary featuring DJ legend Jon Sa Trinxa.

Since the movie was shot in Ibiza and parts of Bali, Indonesia and Montauk, New York, USA, Born Balearic had to come back to its roots. It was no surprise that almost every character featured in the movie came to the screening to show their debut on the big screen to their family and spouses.

“Having our first-ever Screening in Ibiza was very important to us. As a movie, we wanted to be as close to our fans as possible and what better way to do so in Ibiza. Meeting everyone there was like a family reunion- everyone knows each other”

Says Marlon Grundschöttel, the Marketing Manager of the Born Balearic Movie.

Next Steps

After the successful Screening in Ibiza, it is now time for our next Screening in Turin Italy at the Seeyousound Festival on the 21st of February at 4:30 pm in Cinema Massimo. Our director Lily Rinae and Producer Haruna Azumi will be attending the event.

Our film documentary is going to be the Headliner for the entire Filmfestival. The first opening day of the Seeyousound Festival is focused on the theme "Ibiza". We are especially excited because our movie is going to be in the same category as the movies about the Iconic DJ Pete Tong and legendary director Julian Temple "Ibiza- The Silent Movie".
